Assam Govt, Bajali District has relased Walk-in-Interview in GIS Assistant Recruitment 2024 Notification No. DLR-11014/33/2023-SRV/5. Candidates who are interested in this recruitment can apply on 21 February from 10.00 am onwards. In pursuance of DLR, Assam Letter Vide No. DLR-11014/33/2023-SRV/5 dtd. 14.12.2023, a walk-in-interview will be held on 21.02.2024 from 10.00 A.M. onwards in the 0/0 the District Commissioner, Bajali for selection and engagement of 2 (Two) nos. of GIS Assistants under Bajali District.
Intending candidates are invited to appear in the walk-in-interview along with original documents supporting required eligibility criteria.

Job responsibilities
Digitization of geospatial data from cadastral and non-cadastral locations.
Perform quality control checks on GIS data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
Preparation of reports, presentations and visualizations of GIS-related data.
Stay up to date with GIS industry trends and best practices to improve the organization’s GIS capabilities.
Provide GIS-related technical support to team members and end users.
Contribute to the documentation of GIS processes and procedures.
Drone photography/HRSI interpretation, etc.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Geography/Geology/Mathematics/Geoinformatics/Physics/Computer Science or related field with Certificate/Diploma in GIS and Remote Sensing or Geoinformatics OR
M.Tech/M.Sc. in GIS and Remote Sensing/Geoinformatics.
M.C.A/M.A/M.Sc. in Geography/Geology/Mathematics/Environmental Sciences with Geoinformatics as one of the subjects or Certificate or Diploma in GIS/Remote Sensing or Geoinformatics.
Desirable Qualification:
Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, Global Mapper or other industry standard applications. Familiarity with related data formats (e.g., shapefiles, GeoJSON, KML) and coordinate systems.
Knowledge of geospatial analysis tools, image processing techniques, data collection through drone surveys and geospatial data development.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Previous experience in a GIS-related position or internship is recommended, but not required.
Experience
Preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of 02 years of relevant work experience. Preference will be given to RCCC trained candidates who have the required educational qualification with proficiency in GIS.
Ability
Mastery of Arc Desktop, ArcPro, AutoCAD, Global Mapper. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs/Spreadsheets and fluency in Assamese, Hindi and English are required.
Remuneration
Rupee. 25000/- per month (fixed)

No TA/DA or official accommodation will be provided for appearing in the interview.
The offer is purely contractual and co-terminal with the completion of projects/requirements, with no provision for regularization.
The District Director/Commissioner reserves the right to cancel/postpone the interview without stating any reason.
