BTC Teacher Vacancies 2024

Kokrajhar Education Department has published a notification for the recruitment of Post Graduate Teacher and Graduate Teacher (Arts, Science, Hindi and Sanskrit) vacancy. Those candidates who are interested in the details of the vacancy and complete all the eligibility criteria can read the notification and apply online.

Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens and permanent residents of Assam, as defined under Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India, for filling up 1613 vacancies of Post Graduate Teacher and Graduate Teacher in various Provincial Secondary Schools under the direction of Director of Education, BTC, Kokrajhar. In the pay scale of Rs. Rs 22,000/- to Rs 97,000/- for PGT. Rs.14,000 to Rs. 70,000/- for GT including GP and other admissible allowances as per rules.

Start date to apply online: 16 February 2024 (10:00 a.m.)

Age limit (as of 01-01-2023)

For Graduate Teachers:

Minimum age limit: Must not be less than 18 years.

Maximum age limit for non-reserved category: Not more than 40 years

Maximum age limit for Ex-military category: 42 years

Maximum age limit for OBC/MOBC category: 43 years

Maximum age limit for ST/SC(P)/ST(H) category: 45 years

Maximum age limit for the category of people with disabilities: 50 years

For Post Graduate Teaching:

Minimum age limit: 21 years.

Maximum age limit for Open Category: 38 years

Maximum age limit for Ex-military category: 40 years

Maximum age limit for OBC/MOBC category: 41 years

Maximum age limit for ST/SC(P)/ST(H) category: 43 years

Maximum age limit for the category of people with disabilities: 48 years

Educational Qualification

Postgraduate Teacher: The applicant must be a postgraduate in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) from a recognized university and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from an institution recognized by the National Training Council Teacher. . , The degree obtained in the non-face-to-face and distance modality will not be considered valid.

Postgraduate Teacher: Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks and corresponding subject with 50% marks or Postgraduate in Arts with 50% marks, provided you have passed the Bachelor’s degree in any of the relevant subjects with 50% marks. B.T/B.Ed degree from a recognized university.

Selection Criteria

Teaching Eligibility Test and Recruitment Test: 140 marks in the following papers: The paper will carry 140 marks (Pedagogy: 50 marks, About Assam and its people: 50 marks, General English: 30 marks, General Studies and Current Affairs: 10 points)

NCC/Sports/Fine Arts and Cultural Activities: 5 points for NCC Certificate

Candidates who have previously qualified Higher Secondary TET and have not been appointed till date will get 5% weightage of the marks obtained in TET or a maximum of 5 marks for selection as Postgraduate Teacher.
