1. Delhi to Make Pink Saheli Smart Card Mandatory for Free Bus Ride

The Delhi Government has stated that women and transgender commuters will have to utilise the Pink Saheli Smart Card for free travel in DTC and cluster buses from August 1, 2026. The smart card will enhance transparency, assist in successful operation of the free travel policy and foster cashless public transport.

The initiative is aimed at protecting domestic steel makers from dumping of cheap imports and ensuring fair competition.
