Exciting discovery: Kerala reveals new species of deep-sea sharks

In the fishing port of Sakthikulangara in Kerala, scientists from the Zoological Survey of India (ZSI) discovered a new species of deep-sea dogfish shark. He named it Squalus Hima. This new discovery, published in the journal Records of the ZSI, helps us learn more about the wide variety of creatures that live in the Arabian Sea. The sword dog is a species of dog in the genus Squalus, belonging to the family Squalidae.
