Applications are invited from eligible single male and female candidates for the award of Short Service Commission (SSC) for the course commencing January 2025 at the Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala. Candidates must satisfy the nationality conditions prescribed by the Government of India.

Pay and Allowances

Selection Process

  1. Shortlisting of applications will be done on the basis of standardized marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying certificate. The grades obtained by the candidates in the qualifying career will be
  2. Normalization has been done using the formulas mentioned on the Join Indian Navy website (URL: https://www.joinindiannavy.gov.in/files/normalisation.pdf).
  3. BE/B Technology. For candidates who have completed BE/B.Tech or are in final year, marks obtained till 5th semester will be considered for SSB shortlisting.
  4. Post Graduate Programme. For candidates who have completed M.Sc., MCA, MBA, M.Tech, marks obtained in all semesters will be considered. For those candidates who are in the final year, shortlisting will be done on the basis of performance before the final year.
  5. Candidates selected in the final merit list will have to submit proof of completion of the qualifying degree with minimum 60% marks by sending an email to the address officer@navy.gov.in. Candidates who do not meet the criteria will not be able to join the Academy.
  6. Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview through email or SMS (provided by the candidates in their application form). Candidates are advised not to Change your email/mobile number and check your inbox and spam folder from time to time until the selection process is complete.
  7. Change of SSB center for interview is not permitted under any circumstances. Any correspondence regarding change in SSB dates should be addressed to the concerned SSB Convocation Officer on receipt of the convocation letter. Candidates have to download the call letter.
  8. On receipt of information through SMS/email from NHQ/DMPR (provided by the candidates in their applications).
  9. No compensation will be admissible in case of injuries sustained as a result of tests conducted during SSB Interview.

How to apply

Candidates have to register and fill the application on Indian Navy website www.joinIndiannavy.gov.in. To save time during the application submission period, candidates can fill their details and upload the documents in advance.

Candidates read the notification before filling the recruitment application form.

All relevant documents (preferably in original), mark sheets up to 5th and 7th semesters respectively for regular and integrated BE/B.Tech courses and all semesters for other degree examinations, proof of date of birth (as per 10th and 12th certificate), CGPA conversion. Formula for BE/B.Tech. Merchant Navy Certificate issued by Ministry of Shipping & Transport, Government of India, NCC ‘C’ Certificate issued by National Cadet Corps and recent passport size color photograph should be scanned in original JPG/TIFF format. To attach it while completing the application.

If any scanned document is not legible/readable for any reason, the request will be rejected.

Application once submitted will be final and no request for modification/change will be entertained.
