Southern Railway, Railway Recruitment Cell, Chennai has released the notification for recruitment of 17 posts of Scout and Guide 2024 . Candidates applying for the posts in this employment notice are required to pay the prescribed fee online as per the table below.
- SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Persons with Disabilities/Women/Transgender/Minorities/Economically Backward Class: Rs 250/- (Rs 400 will be refunded to those who are eligible as per the notification and actually appear in the written examination/computer based examination ) (CBT) after deducting bank charges.)
- General: Rs 500/- (Rs 400 will be refunded to those who are found eligible as per notification and actually appear in the written test/Computer Based Test (CBT) after deducting bank charges).

Qualification for Scout and Guide Level-2 and Level-1
- President’s Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger (or) Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) Holder in any section
- Must be an active member of any Scouting organization for the last 5 years. The ‘Activity Certificate’ must be according to Annex I (attached); AND
- Must have participated in two programs at the national level or at the All India Railway level and two programs at the state level.

Candidates who apply in response to this notification and are eligible to be considered for appointment will be evaluated as follows.
