• Two years of integrated postgraduate master’s course from NCERT Regional College of Education in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate; OR Master’s degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the following subjects: – Botany/Zoology/Life
• Sciences/Biology/Genetics/Microbiology/Biotechnology/BioMolecular/Plant Physiology Sciences, provided they have studied Botany and Zoology. at the graduate level.
• B.Ed from NCTE recognized institute.

• A higher percentage of marks in higher qualifications and work experience in English medium residential public schools may be considered for giving the prescribed weightage.

Educational qualification

• Four-year integrated degree course (B.A.Ed) with English in the subject concerned as well as English from NCERT or other NCTE recognized institution with at least 50% marks in aggregate or a Bachelor’s degree with honors with at least a 50% grades. Related subject (English)/combination of subjects and also as a whole. The candidate must have studied the required subject in the three years of the degree. OR Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in the relevant subject (English)/combination of subjects and aggregate. The candidate must have studied the required subject in the three years of the degree.
• B.Ed degree from NCTE recognized institutions/universities (B.Ed degree is not applicable to a four-year integrated degree course i.e. B.A.B.Ed).
• Have passed the Teaching Eligibility Test (TET) Test-2 conducted by the concerned Government in accordance with the guidelines prepared by NCTE for this purpose.
