1. India’s first marine airport in Maharashtra
Government of India has approved preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) for India’s first maritime airport to be developed at Kore Beach in Palghar district of Maharashtra. The project is targeted at easing congestion at Mumbai’s airport, improving regional connectivity and boosting tourism and trade. It is being hailed as a milestone in the development of India’s aviation infrastructure.
2. Launch of UPI System in Seychelles
India and Seychelles signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for implementation of Unified Payments Interface (UPI) in Seychelles. The service is scheduled to go live by the end of 2026. The move will strengthen digital payments, trade, tourism and financial cooperation between the two countries and strengthen the digital payment ecosystem of India at the global level.
3. Haryana, Rajasthan to share water from Upper Yamuna River
New Delhi, Nov 30 (PTI) Haryana and Rajasthan today signed an agreement to implement 1994 Agreement of Upper Yamuna River Board. The agreement aims to ensure equitable sharing of water of Yamuna river for agriculture, drinking and other development activities. The agreement will enhance cooperation between the states in the management of water resources.
4. DMRC gets UITP Excellence Award
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) was conferred with the UITP (International Association of Public Transport) Operational Excellence Award in Brussels. The award recognizes excellence in metro operations, safety, punctuality, customer service and sustainable public transit. This is an acknowledgement of the growing stature of India in the modern urban transport systems. 5. First Integrated Battle Groups (IBG’s) to be inducted in Indian Army
First Integrated Battle Groups (IBGs) to be operationalised by Indian Army from July 1, 2026 These new military formations are self-contained combat groups that combine infantry, armored units, artillery, engineers and logistics for rapid deployment. This is in line with Army’s modernization drive to boost operational readiness and combat capability.
6. DIKSHA – “One Nation, One Digital Platform”
DIKSHA (Digital Infrastructure for Knowledge Sharing) is India’s “One Nation, One Digital Platform” for school education. This portal provides digital textbooks, teacher training programmes, online courses, assessment and multilingual learning materials for students and teachers across the country.
7. Aarogya Setu 2.0 and Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission
Union Health Minister J P Nadda launches Aarogya Setu 2.0 and other digital health initiatives under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) India’s digital health ecosystem is strengthened with better infrastructure including digital health IDs, electronic health records, online consultations and integrated healthcare services
8. PM Modi receives ‘Guardian of the Blue Horizon’ Award
The coveted ‘Guardian of the Blue Horizon’ medal was awarded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his state visit to Seychelles. The prize is for his work on maritime security, environmental protection and the development of the blue economy. The recognition also strengthens bilateral ties between India and Seychelles.
9. Prime Minister’s Family Care Tracker (PM-FCT)
Gandhinagar, Gujarat has launched pilot initiatives including the Prime Minister’s Family Care Tracker (PM-FCT) and the Health Passport. The digital platform will be used to manage family health records, improve health care delivery, enable disease monitoring and help policy makers in preparing public health initiatives.
10. Web Portal for Rural Internal Audit.
The government has developed an AI-powered Rural Internal Audit Portal to improve transparency and accountability in Panchayati Raj Institutions and rural development programmes. The software supports the tracking of financial transactions, detecting anomalies and encouraging good governance through technology-assisted audits.
11.New guidelines issued for Anemia-Free India campaign
Ministry of Health and Family Welfare releases Revised Operational Guidelines of “Anemia-Free India” Program The initiative aims to reduce anemia in children, adolescents, pregnant and breastfeeding mothers by promoting better diet, iron and folic acid supplementation, regular screening and awareness activities.
12. Amendments to the licensing of medical devices
India has announced key regulatory reforms for the medical device industry that will facilitate licensing, enhance digital compliance, improve product traceability and upgrade quality standards. These measures will enhance exports, improve patient safety and strengthen the domestic industry.
13. Odisha starts ‘Go East’ campaign
The Odisha government has initiated “Go East” campaign to boost industrial development and investment in eastern India. The initiative is aimed at attracting domestic and foreign investment, boosting the industrial sector, creating jobs and accelerating regional economic growth.
14. India-Seychelles partnership on maritime security
India, Seychelles boost cooperation in maritime security, coastline surveillance, naval cooperation, capacity building and blue economy. The enhanced cooperation is expected to promote peace, stability and security in Indian Ocean region.
15. Netaji Brachybacterium
Scientists discover new bacteria strain *Brachybacterium Netaji* in the Hooghly River, West Bengal. This bacterium, isolated from an industrially polluted environment, is considered to be of value in environmental protection, microbiological research, pollution control and biotechnological applications.
16. Corporate Mitra Scheme
Ministry of Corporate Affairs has conceived the Corporate Mitra Program for promotion of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Under this scheme, the trained Corporate Mitras would provide affordable professional services to improve the competitiveness of MSMEs including regulatory compliance, legal assistance, GST (Goods and Services Tax) support, accounting, financial advice and secretarial services.
17. Induction of ICGS Akshay
Goa Shipyard Limited has delivered the indigenously built rapid patrol vessel for the Indian Coast Guard, ICGS Akshay. The warship will boost security, maritime surveillance, anti-smuggling activities and search and rescue operations for the Indian coast.
18. 2026 Tiger Census National
India has initiated the sixth cycle of National Tiger Census (AITE 2026). The tiger population across the country is being estimated and their habitat is being monitored using camera traps, field surveys and genetic analysis. It is an important tool for the conservation of wildlife and management of biodiversity.
19. Missile FP-5 Flamingo
FP-5 Flamingo is a long-range unmanned cruise missile developed in Ukraine with an estimated range of more than 3,000km. This is a tremendous breakthrough in modern long-range precision military technology.
20. e-Sushrut@Clinic Digital Health System
The Ministry of Health has launched e-Sushrut@Clinic, a digital health system to revolutionise healthcare services in India. This technology allows the use of electronic health records, digital medicines, online appointment scheduling and hospital management. Further, it promotes effective paperless healthcare leading to the successful implementation of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission.
